Camera angle from 'inside' the rotary phone

I thought this camera angle was hilarious, but I feel like I've seen this trick done in another movie. Does anyone remember if it was used before and when?

I for the most part found it very odd and unnessisary. Although, props on originality.

My original new sig was too many characters too long. So, this is all I've got.

I found it hilarious/ridiculous/pointless, but I didn't mind it. Definitely an odd choice.
