Man, Amber really was mean in this one!

I thought Amber was mean in the remake but Vitamin C's Amber make Brittany Snow's portrayal of the character look like a goody goody. I felt sorry for Amber in the remake but in this version I just wanted to slap her silly!

Eva *hearts* James Marsden!

Yes. I felt everyone was a bit 'watered down' (not in a good way) in the third-generation adaptation. Personally, the whole thing could have been meaner.

In the musical Amber was a villan as much as her mom was just a bit watered down. In the movie she the mean one compared to her mother.

I thought that. Velma Von Tussle also had a much more prominent part in the remake than in the original. Debbie Harry had only a few scenes and Amber was far nastier than her mother. Her mother just seemed over protective and ambitious and wanted great things for her undertalented daughter.

reply

Well, not undertalented but, her bad attitude got in the way, of everything.

Collen Fitzpatrick was a much more amusing Amber than Brittany.

"Aren't you a little fat for the show?" -Amber

"I'm sure that many of the home viewers are also pleasantly plump or chunky."
-Tracy

"Oh come on, the show's not filmed in cinemascope." -Amber

She's a bitch through the whole movie, I love it!

reply

I love Amber's tantrum at the end:

VELMA & FRANKLIN VON TUSSLE : Amber, we're going home RIGHT NOW!!!!!!

AMBER (stamping her feet) : NO, Mommy NO-O-O-O-O--O-O-O-O!

I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked.

reply

I didn't know that was Vitamin C!

Awesome!
