Jean-Marc Barr's voice?

I have the director's cut VHS. It is obvious that the sound is not always synchroized with the actors' speaking. It also sounds like like Barr's voice is dubbed by an American. Does anyone have information on that? It's too bad there is no "commentary" or "making of" available.

I don't think so, Jean-Marc Barr is equally american and french (his father is american, his mother french). He has spent his first twenty years in the US. So he is currently fluent in the two languages. In a lot of interviews of him in french, you can hear a slight american accent.

There may be some dubbing due to on-set sound issues. However, Jean-Marc's voice in the film is, indeed, Jean-Marc's. It's very common for actors to dub their own voices to complete the film as desired by the director. If it's not synched, it's usually the fault of the techies in the studio...or Jean-Marc not quite hitting his cues correctly in the sound studio. :)

Its called ADR or looping, I think.
