Minor characters make the film.

'Lo!

Like the title says; as great as the main characters are; the minor players really make the film. (Or any film, for that matter.)

Who is everyone's favourite minor character/actor?

Mine is Barbara Harris. "Lady Fanny of Omaha"
Such a superb actress with a long, brilliant career. I absolutely loved her wide-eyed "duh" expressions as she gets pushed into plant after plant after plant at the beginning of the film.Later on the plane, her hopelessly inept attempts at being subtle when beckoning to Steve Martin are hilarious as well. :)

Cheers!

I love the sailors in the nightclub.
"'Get up and DANCE', he says? I'd like to smack him!"

Thank you for singling out Barbara Harris...one of the most brilliant, underrated, unappreciated actresses in the business who always makes her role more interesting than it is in the script and this film was no exception. The woman has impeccable comic timing and works well with just about any actor in the business. I have followed her career for years and will see anything she does.

my favorite is the hotel employee who walks around calling for

"Dr. Shouffhouzen"

"Dr. Emile Shouffhouzen"

I love that scene.

I totally agree with you and join in your praise of her. She is fantastic in everything I see her in. Which just makes me want to see more.
