The most memorable thing about the Theo character is that it was so obviously written to be a nerdy white guy. I mean, how many genius computer hackers in the 80s were black? The actor playing him seems to know this, as he spends the movie doing Eddie Murphy's impression of what a geeky white guy sounds like to black people.

That's what I love about movies produced by Joel Silver, he always forced diversity in his films at the expense of being realistic. That midget John Leguizamo playing an elite commando in Executive Decision is another example of this hahaha
