ZERO Golden Globe nominations???

I just checked, and realized this film got ZERO Golden Globe nominations, but 7 Oscar nominations and 3 wins. What gives? Did the movie release too late in the year for the Hollywood Foreign Press Associations Rules? This was a period film, highly regarded and had an all-star cast. Why would the Globe voters totally over look it in all categories? Something seems fishy here. Especially overlooking Michelle Pfeiffer and Glenn Close, two STARS- something the Globe voters love honoring all the time.

Yeah you're right i thought exactly the same. Basically the only bodies that awarded and nominated dangerous liasons were the baftas and the oscars. Golden globes new york film critics la film critics etc didn't at all which seems funny. It should have basically one every adapted screenplay award going.Michelle pfeiffer was nominated that year for the golbes as best actress in a musical comedy for married to the mob. Melanie griffiths beat her for working girl.

Just checked the writers guild of america and the boston society film critics were the only american film bodies to award this. Seems funny.

The film was released in the last week or so of 1988, I believe, and was screened too late to catch the attention of the HFPA... this is what I remember, may or may not be accurate!
