What did Brian think he was apologizing for?

When Brian stalks Jordan back to her apartment, he does so because he wants her to give him the chance to apologize. But when he actually gets there and starts apologizing, she says something about him making her look like a fool in Jamaica. He pretends to not know what she's talking about and acts surprised when he discovers she saw him leave to hook up with the older lady in the bar. So what did he want to apologize to her about in the first place if he thought she didn't know about the cheating?

I was watching this last night and thought the exact same thing.

From his perspective, Jordan just disappeared overnight after spending a great week together with no explanation why.

If anything, he should have been demanding an explanation from Jordan as to why she just left without saying goodbye. She then could drop the bombshell of seeing him with Cougar DeVille setting him up for the apology.
