I wonder if a sequel was ever considered?

Did this film do well at the box office?

I thought they would have had some mileage in the Bryan/Jordan marriage and their twins plot. Maybe that photographer chick could have made a return in it haha (or the rich older woman)

i dont think a sequel would have worked.

name it: 'molotov cocktail'. named for the cocktail used to set cocktails & dreams ablaze for the insurance money b/c it couldn't turn a profit.

I think they would have had trouble getting Cruise back... probably even Shue.

I seem to remember reading something to the effect that he only agreed to do this movie whilst waiting for prep on Born on the Fourth of July to finish... and he wasn't too happy with the finished result of Cocktail.

If that IS true, then he's wrong, but it's not unknown for stars to finish a movie and then not be happy with the final product.
