I doubt it. I think he realized that he could though with the looks she was giving him when Brian was explaining the Jamaican thing. He was also trying to do Brian a favor. He was falling in love with a woman who was only interested in using him at the moment. He was doing two things: getting his money back and trying to show Brian the light.
share^Agreed...Sometimes the best/only way to teach someone a valuable lesson is to blindside them with on the surface is a very mean act/gesture.
I think by the time they had been reunited in Jamaica, Flanagan understood that Doug had been right and was just going to extremes to hammer the message in. If you noticed, there did not appear to be much hostility at all.
After watching it again, I'm going to say yes, he was already sleeping with Coral when he made the bet, but it's just an educated guess.
