Ugh once again you can count on IMDBers to either over or under rate a movie!
There is no way this film was bad enough to garner 5.4. There were some weak parts in the story, but overall it was solid acting, some genuine moments showing human weakness, an OK script, above average cinematography and overall a nice little, if not hackneyed, love story. This deserves at least a 6.

I agree. I watched it for the first time this weekend and was thoroughly entertained by it. I would give it a 7 or 8 and it was still better than 90% of the crap that comes out, now.

I agree with the last part. Today's movies have no soul whatsoever.

there were problems but TC saves the movie and is why it's still on TV so much LOL

An absolutely ridiculous score. I am confident that if you asked every 1980s generation person to vote for this movie, you would get a lot more than 5.7. If IMDB had been around in the 80's this would have got a lot more.

What the hell is the socio demographic mentality of IMDBers? Are they snob movie goers who only appreciate films like The Godfather?

Very underrated on IMDB. Also a rare case in my experience when a movie below 6.0 avg is actually very decent. Much, much worse movies with much better avg ratings out there.

Good acting, decent cinematography, good chemistry between characters and a story which wasnt predictable and boring after 30 minutes. I give it a solid 6,5/10.
