I wish Woody and Gena had worked together again

It's very unfortunate that Woody Allen and Gena Rowlands never worked together again after this film.

Gena Rowlands was excellent in the John Cassavetes films in the '70s, but he seemed to relish in humiliating her and his films are rather disjointed and way too long.

Woody Allen made an effective transition to drama in the late '70s, but I find some of his films too blatantly Bergmanesque to stand on their own.

By the time Gena hooked up with Woody, she found the perfect director, and he found the perfect star. Gena would have been perfect in Woody's stable -- for the sake of both of them.
