Her husband

I thought Marion was a bit cold and even though she was married she seemed to be a loner. She did not have a upbeat demeanor and i was wondering is that why her husband found pleasures in the wife of his friend. I am not making an excuse for what he did. I felt she really loved him but could not express it to him, In fact i was surprised that she cared as much for him as she did. I believe he loved her as well but it had simply became more as a friend he was in love with or someone he was attached to but could not let go. Almost as if she was his safe side and his lover was the wild thing. I also believe she was very hurt by it even though she felt relieved to know she was right about suspecting something else was going on. The movie was sad in the end because you know she wasted so many years with him after not choosing her first love and he is now happily married, She is, as i said a loner so she may have a bit of a hard time trying to get into another relationship, but i think her lessons learned she will be ok. ..... I spoke on this because I don't think the affair was so much him looking for sex but of his own issues coupled with hers and a deteriorating self image on both spouses. One last point, I thought Marian was good looking and it was odd to me that he had stopped making love to her. When most cheaters want to enjoy both as his lover was doing.
