'Claire' as a paradigm

Some movies can offer people insight into the effect our lives have on the lives of others. "Another Woman' (whether purposely or not) does that.

How many of us have 'Claires" in our lives? Sandy Dennis' interpretation of Allen's statement "...I withdrew" brought me to a moment in my life where I realized that I had been treating many of my friends as a member of the cast of characters in the story of my life, and the snippet from 'Archaic Torso...' devastated me when I read the poem.

'Another Woman' may not be your fave Woody Allen, but it is a movie that I see at least once a year. I always find new insight.

My 'Claire' remains aloof and enigmatic, but, she exists. I wonder how many people we hurt without intention.
