Anybody else thought she imagined the woman?
We've all seen movies where some characters or events turn out to be unreal, imagined by the main character. This movie seemed to move towards the same conclusion. It would have made sense to have Gena Rowland go to see her next door neighbor, only to discover that there is no neighbor at all. The woman telling her problems would have turned out to be the product of Gena Rowland's unconsciousness. In the end, the movie did not present such a conclusion in any obvious manner. The next door psychologist and his patient were probably real. But if we really want, we can still believe that they were imagined.
