Who performed "Gymnopédie No 1" for the opening titles?

I recognized the song immediately, but have been unable to find a copy of Gymnopedie performed in that way. The movie opening's version has some variations, especially the soft cymbal crashes/"gongs" in the background which adds a subtle heaviness to the song. Does anyone know the artist who did this version or better yet, where I can buy it?

End credits mention Gymnopédie No.3, but it's actually No.1 (as you correctly note) near the beginning of the movie. It's performed (complete with soft percussion) by Orchestre De La Société Des Concerts Du Conservatoire. Conducted by Louis Auriacombe. Courtesy of EMI-Pathé Marconi, Capitol Records Special Markets. It's available on CD at Amazon. It's also on YouTube. Enjoy!

Interestingly enough, both numbers are right. This is because Debussy, who made the orchestral arrangements of the Gymnopédies to help the career of his friend Satie, switched the numbers of #1 and #3 (he did not arranged #2).

So the generic is right in saying it's number #3, but it is also the original #1 (for piano).
