Lupe Fiasco's 5th Studio Album TETSUO & YOUTH will be a concept album based on this film.

Hopefully he does it justice.

If any of yall know of Lupe, he is a thought provoking top tier lyricist who helped pioneer the mainstream success of socially conscious hip hop artists in the past 6 years.

He had a lot of promise as a rapper early on with his critically acclaimed albums Food & Liquor & The Cool but his work has took a dive with Lasers & Food And Liquor 2.

He can be a little left when it comes to his views on politics and he never bites his tongue. It has gotten him in trouble over the past couple years and his fanbase has took a hit because of it

A hip hop album based on a anime could have a lot of potential if done right. What do yall think?

If anyone could make an entire concept album based on an anime, it's definitely Lupe

Would love it if he did a concept album about Akira, but this is what it says on the albums Wikipedia page: (from a rolling stone's interview apparently)

"In the same interview, Lupe cleared up rumors and stated that he did not name his album after Japanese manga series Akira character Tetsuo Shima. However, Lupe does admit to being loosely inspired by the biker-gang member. "For me, Tetsuo sounds cool" he stated."

Bummer. :/
