Most frightening scene

Everyone seem to agree the most disturbing and unsettling scene is either testuo mutation or Kaori death.

Am I the only one who thinks the most disturbing scene is the giant Teddy Bear spilling milk? Like others, I saw this when I was 9 or 10 as my father thought it was a family movie since it was a cartoon.

I was pretty cool the whole time, the violence was not much difference from what I had already seen in Mortal Kombat games or Dragonball Z cartoon. But the damn teddy bear did it for me and I had to pause the movie. Too disturbing

I thought the darkest part was just after the scene you mentioned where Tetsuo stumbles into the hospital hallway, and he makes a movement with his arm and the doctor and guards splatter onto the walls. It was just so effortless and violent.

It's the moment where you realise this guy can do anything, and he doesn't have good intentions. It's like a monster just got unleashed.

I agree, I'm creeped out a lot by the sequence of the toys coming to life. As I said on another post here, it's very nightmarish. The gore is just gore, it's the same in most movies. The toys coming to life is really just hellish, something we've all probably had bad dreams about as children.

I found the teddy scenes the most frightening, but Kaori's death disturbed me the most. I guess it's because the sweet little thing didn't deserve to die like that, all she did was care for Tetsuo (even when the others didn't seem to).

The teddy bear scene was creepy, but the music that accompanied it with the voices going "blum, blum, blum..." made it terrifying.

reply

The near-rape scene was terrifying because of how sudden it was and how realistic it was.

It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing .

Me too, and that scene made me afraid of my toys for months at night.

Kaori's final scene. As a kid that was the part I really couldn't watch.

I'd love to see you in the moonlight with your head thrown back and your body on fire.
