All the other times I saw it on lifetime...edited for tv. Goodness...The rape scene was hard to watch. I feel dirty after watching it. Man I can't stand rapists.

Don't ever watch Irreversible. The rape scene in that one is 100X worse and 3X as long. People were so upset by it that they walked out when it first played at the Cannes Film Festival.

i've seen that one as well and It's for sure pretty brutal...Maybe it's because it's been so long since Ive seen the irreversible scene(over 10 years) or the fact that it was multiple guys taking turns while holding Jodie Foster down(with their hands covering her mouth) and a whole crowd cheering...Could also be the shock factor of seeing it for the first time unedited. Eh I was gonna say The rape scene in The accused was worse But rape is rape. All rape scenes make me feel the same way.

*Boys Don't Cry* (1999) has a graphic rape scene. Hilary Swank's transgender character is beaten up, then tag teamed by Peter Sarsgaard and Brendan Sexton III.
