Interesting trivia about the song "I'm Talking Love"

Same here! Now I wish we knew what the original song was and the artist who refused let it be in the movie!

It's funny, I was just watching this movie and when I read this thread, I had "I'm Talking Love" in my head, and I started thinking about Brad Fiedel saying how the tempo and feel had to match the original song for the replacement song to work and it came to me out of the blue. My guess for what the original song could have been would be Kiss by Prince. Listening to I'm Talking Love, the melody and the beat of the two songs sound pretty similar to me  Any votes or other guesses?

According to this interview with Jonathan Kaplan, it really was "Kiss" by Prince that was chosen for that scene:

I can't say I blame Prince for not wanting his music put in that scene.
