Extreme/radical/fanat ical muslims say the rape is JUSTIFIED

Hardcore muslims have always criticized the West for its loose morals and dress code freedom especially for women. They have always believed that women are meant to be fully covered from head to toe so that they do not tempt men by seeing their physical bodies (until after marriage).

If a women decides to bare skin and show off her body in public, she is ASKING to get raped and it's her fault for being a "whore" showing off her body and provoking men's sexual advances. They would say that if she had been fully covered, she would not have brought upon herself such attention that got her raped in the first place.

Do you agree or disagree with them? On the one hand, it's absolute stupidity of islam to blame the victim just because she was wearing shorts or sleevless top and let her hair flow down her back. Whether you are dressed in winter clothes or summer clothes, one should exercise self-control and not rape any woman you see because you find her physically tempting and attractive. It's like saying, "all good looking girls are cursed since they will be attractive to men and therefore raped."

But on the other hand, I do believe in MODESTY when it comes to dress and behavior. I think the west is going way too far with allowing for some OUTRAGEOUS skimpy outfits worn by women and even little school girls. I don't think they should be allowed to walk around in public showing off 95% legs and even ass, midriffs, breasts, etc unless you are say at the beach or pool. To wear that in malls and in general public spaces is very disturbing in the message we are teaching our kids and adults, too. Just like it's never OK to go steal anyone money just because it's laying out there in the open, we don't exactly walk around with our cash hanging around our bodies....the bills are neatly tucked away into a wallet where it is out of sight and hopefully out of mind.

What do you think?

Actually women in the Middle East (including Islamic, which is adherent to Muslim beliefs) haven't always been required to be covered from head to toe. They once wore shorts, short sleeves and alternative apparel to their code of dress now. It has only been since the takeover of Taliban in those countries that they have had to adhere yo being fully covered (even the face)..... Just FYI.

But I don't think clothing should scream 'come rape me', either. What about African tribes women whom roam completely naked? That's also their culture so showing skin to them is not sexual, whatsoever. It's natural. So, I guess the real question is what drives a person TO rape? Since cultures vary on definitions of modesty. What's modest to one may be scandalous to another, and vice versa. And it is also know of grown men (in their 40's, 50's) having sex with teenage girls (whom their parents having given to in marriage) in the Middle East because that is a cultural norm. But in the United States, we call this rape....... It could be questioned forever.

What do you mean they "shouldn't be allowed" to walk around in skimpy outfits? Does that go for men too? I live in a free country where choices on clothing are left to the individual. The price of this liberty is seeing hairy, beer bellied men in wife beaters and over-weight women in spandex, low rise plants.

No, I don't believe rape is a direct result of the clothing a woman. If it were the case that rapist are attracted to skin, women who do dress modestly or cover head to toe would be perfectly safe. That's not quite the case now is it.

By the way, it's not illegal show your wallet or cash.

You can object to exhibitionism and lack of modesty, on say an aesthetic, maybe even partly moral, basis, but why are you linking it to sexual violence? One has nothing to do with the other. Rape is a crime of violence, rarely associated with sexual passion per se, and NO woman should be held even partly accountable for any man who decides to violate her sexually, regardless of what she is wearing or how flirtatious her manner is. If she hasn't consented to sex there is nothing more to say.

2 points:

1 a man can walk around with his shirt off in hot weather and small shorts and nobody cares, but a woman shows a bit of cleavage and can get called things like slut

2 All the evidence shows that there is no link between clothing and the chances of being raped. Most rapists generally target vulnerability, not clothing.

You know about Islam as much as your mother knew about contraception. . . Unfortunately.

She said no, therefore she did not want it.

Amazingly, she could have been in a room of gay women and not one of them would have assaulted her.

He is right about Islam. It is an Anti-woman, Anti-democracy, and Anti-peace religion.

I am a white European, and I am not a muslim, but in this movie I do see the rape as being fully justified, in fact, I don't see it at all as a gang rape, but rather some lustful, hot-blooded guys having a fun, sexy time with a smoking hot, sexy babe, who was wearing a very sexy miniskirt, a very tight fitting crop top, and was dancing very sexily in front of all those lustful, leering men.

Where was the rape exactly?

She just got exactly what she deserved to get.

Paradroid, see this video and tell me if she deserved it

Thank you for posting the video clip - yes, she certainly did deserve that - she clearly consented to be tied up to the bed with the full intention of engaging in sexual activity.

If she screams out stop or no part way through the sex, that's hardly the mans fault, is it? He just carried on, as he should do, to release his natural sexual urges on her.

It is a very sexy scene to watch.
