If You were Ken, wuld U have HELPED Sarah

I found it odd, that while Sarah was being raped, Ken just stood and watched in disgust. He was sober and all the guys were drunk so he could have the better of some (or maybe just those committing the crime)

Maybe he was in shock, or scared or didnt know what to do...but how could you just stand and watch something like that happen rite infront of you and not do anything about it, he could have helped Sarah or atleast ran into the next room and find some people to help--but he did nothing.

If U were in his situation, would you have helped her? and how?

That made me so angry that he stood there and did nothing. Since he ended up being the hero in the end I tried to understand why he didn't do anything sooner all I could come up with he had been drinking-( right there impaired thinkn) ( ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE) but then I thought as it progressed and he realized what was going on he was shocked but he also may have been afraid to take a stand asthis was not just his boy involved but a room full of guys intent on violence- maybe he was afraid they would come back at him ( again NO EXCUSE) If I was in that situation I would have done any and EVERY thing possible to stop it. I would ve thrown every ashtray and glass I could find scream unplug the freaking jukebox for God;s sake and screamed for anyoone to help.

I probably would not have been able to help. Remember her friend who left the bar? She saw what was happening and one of the men threatened her. I didn't get the feeling that Ken would have been able to physically hold his own against a crowd of rowdy guys.

He barely seemed to be able to stand up against his so-called friend.

I think he tried to help by calling, even though he was too late. He did what he could.

I think the bar tender was more at fault. It was his bar and he didn't know what was happening?? He could have called the police at any time, there was probably a phone right beside him. Yet, he just didn't care. All he cared about even later on was how it might effect his business.

At one point, when she's first getting raped, Ken is smirking like it's a sex show. Then he knows it's an attack and still waits until the third guy steps up. I think that ringleader guy who kept saying "you're next" was worse than the third rapist who didn't want to do it.

No one here seems to grasp the actual quandary an innocent witness faces in this situation. Do you charge into a crowd of gang-rapists and risk getting punched-out without accomplishing a thing and without any call being placed to the police? Or do you abandon the victim to get to a phone and consume vital minutes it might take to call 911, wait for an answer, explain the situation, answer questions, and wait outside to lead the police to the right room and the right perpetrators, knowing that, all the while, the victim is getting raped over and over again while you're safely outside? That's one hell of a decision to have to make.

watching somebody getting raped? yes, i would help by calling the police and not just watch.

Just makes me wonder if that might be a reason Kelly M turned out to be a lesbian years later because she was actually raped in real life, Jodie F is a lesbian to but she was just playing the part of the rape victim
