Keith Warren
This is one particular segment that has always stuck with me. It is the one about the black kid that lived in a Washington DC suburb (somewhere in Maryland I believe) that was found hanging from a tree. He was wearing clothes that didn't belong to him and he had leaves on his back but they ruled it suicide.
The rope was wrapped around a couple of trees very distinctly. It was obvious this kid didn't commit suicide. Years later his mother got pictures of the crime scene at her door step. She also got a message from one of his friends that he knew what happened and was ready to tell her. He was killed before he could do so.
Sadly his mother passed away without knowing what happened to her boy. What always bothered me about this case is that by the time his mother was informed at work of his death he had already been sent to a funeral home and embalmed. That is unheard of and very disrespectful. It seems the police were somehow involved or covering up for someone they knew.
Keith seemed like a good kid heading to college what could he have been into that warranted such a cover-up. It seems like someone put a hit out on him. Maybe he saw something he shouldn't have. The police even came and dug up the tree he was hanging from. I thought about a drug deal gone bad, but Keith didn't come off as into the drug scene that deep to get himself killed.
Just a very sad case and it seemed that for years someone was working hard to make evidence disappear long after Keith was gone. The clothes they returned to his mother weren't what he was wearing in those photos she received. Any thoughts?
