is it possible that roseanne wanted to the cancel the show

or did she really think that abc would let her get away with this racist tweet because her was show was such a rating winner

reply

I honestly think she tweeted without thinking.
Today, people treat social media like casual conversation with ten million of their closest friends and they just blurt things out.
Of course, the consequences are far reaching.

reply

Possibly. Why say something so stupid about a total nobody. Pointless.

reply

A “total nobody”?
Ewww....the reek of frustration at the lack of winning.

She’s a racist who backs a racist. Own it! Be a man in a white hood about it!

reply

There was nothing "racist" about her tweet.

reply

Only an idiot troll would say there was nothing racist about her tweet.

But we already knew you are an idiot troll.

reply

I've got an idea: Why don't you go fuck yourself?

reply

HEY SHUT UP, ALL OF YOU!!!

reply

How is it not racist?

You do know she's not a Caucasian, right? I mean, you're an idiot, sure....but google could tell you THAT......

reply

You think she should be treated differently because she isn't a Caucasian? That sounds racist to me.

BTW - Jarrett is 50% Iranian (Caucasian) and 50% black. Why do you ignore the Caucasian half of her ancestry? That's racist!

reply

Nice try, David Duke.

Roseanne is a racist.

Donald is a racist.

You, by supporting them, are a racist.

Be something akin to a man and at least own it.

reply

It has been established that White people shouldn't insult blacks for their looks. That's a hate speech.
She even apologized later because she knew her tweet was racist. Who are you to judge what's racist and what isn't. TROLL

reply

"It has been established that White people shouldn't insult blacks for their looks."

Absurd comment.

TheeeTenToYuma how was it not racist? Tell me

reply

Super possible. Some people in other forums are saying she's used the tactic before.

reply

I really think people are overthinking this--Roseanne posted what she posted and didn't think about the ramifications. She's a big mouth who's done that all her life. With the rekindling of her fame and support of Trump, she thought she was invincible. She thought wrong.

reply

Yeah but that tweet was utterly racist and offensive

reply

Of course it was--I wasn't arguing otherwise. My point was that I think people are overthinking this when they say: "she did this as a self-sabotage to get her own show cancelled". She very clearly let her big, fat mouth dig her hole on this.

reply

Oh I see what you're saying

reply

She thinks she untouchable, just like Trump...

reply

Hopefully this Roseanne firing is an omen for what's to come for Trump.

reply

From your mouth to God's ear...

reply

Well I hate to break it to you but Trump ain't going nowhere.... he's doing a fine job, he managed to come to peaceful resolution with North Korea and he's trying to keep those parasitic illegal alians out of America but the liberal infested Supreme Courts won't let him, and it's common knowledge that any negative stories surrounding Donald Trump is most likely cooked up or exaggerated by the demacrats cause it's also common knowledge that social media it largely controlled by the liberals who would do and say anything to discredit Trump, and if you think otherwise then you're either a liberal or have no clue as to how politics or social media works.

Bottom line is if you don't like how this country is being run than feel free to leave the country dteam6.

reply

LMAO!!! A DCCU fanboy being a Trumper makes sense: you're used to loving universally-reviled things so it only makes sense that you love the DCCU and Donald Trump.

And no--Trump is not doing a fine job at all: where is my tax cut? Why are the rich getting a permanent tax cut but not us "little people"? Where is our healthcare plan?

Prices at the pump going up. Meat is going up. Milk going up. Produce going up. Racism is larger and more widespread than ever and curiously becoming almost "acceptable" in our country now, etc.

Trump emboldens this type of behavior. When he was elected racist knuckle draggers shouted at my wife to "go back to Asia". We've been married for more than a decade and this never happened before Trump.

Trump called Neo Nazis "good people" at a rally. Trump speaks like an uncouth, nasty, inbred bully who doesn't know how to control his fat mouth.

What you call "a good job" I call "uncouth insanity".

PS: Maybe you should leave instead, Trumpanzee, since you and your ilk are so desperate for Donald to become a dictator. The United States will never become a dictatorship and will always suppress the insanity of Donald Trump. If that bothers you, perhaps YOU should leave, Trumpeteer. :)

reply

She's just plain crazy, and apparently racist. That's all there is to it people.

reply

Tom Arnold says that is absolutely true. Something was going on there. Why didn't the network attempt to reign her in?

reply

I read that and I'm still not buying it. Why is she still keeping it going? Why is she creating animosity with her cast members? What does ANY of that accomplish? She's out--why continue throwing gasoline on the fire?

reply

I thought that after working on a show for a long time the cast were essentially close knit family but I don't see any of that here.

reply

I've been hearing for years that Roseanne was problematic behind the scenes and once tried to get one of the kids (Gilbert or Lecy) kicked off the show at one point all those years ago.

As Roseanne's control grew, tensions grew on the set.

From everything I've read, Goodman had a drinking problem and Roseanne got into arguments with writers and cast members frequently.

I think it WAS a close-knit family...between Goodman and the others. Roseanne probably thought she was above them all.
