Im watching an episode and hes going out with a girl named Dusty and its hinting in the next morning that he did, but I'm confused.....

I believe that was the implication. This was at that time when everyone was losing their verginity on tv. It was happening in Family Ties, Charles In Charge, Doogie Howser, Wonder Years, etc.
