This toon revolves around Strange Eating/Drinking

It's true. This toon is different from the original comic strips! Garfield and Friends has too much Strange Eating/Drinking (like 'Here comes Garfield' (www.imdb.com/title/tt0166218/). The comic strips have tons of fine eating/drinking. There is even super-strange facing, where pupils face the wrong way (www.garfield.com/comics/comics_archives_strip.html?1981-ga810222)! It doesn't make sense. These are the strange strips I know

3. www.garfield.com/comics/comics_archives_strip.html?1996-ga961223

I'm against strange eating/drinking!

Um, no offense, but what do you mean by strange Eating/Drinking and fine Eating/Drinking? What do those phrases mean? What's up with the Garfield Strip links [that they have in common]?
Could anyone please answer?
If so, Thanks!
and how are emicons related, too?

Well, garfieldodie, the strange eating is where they eat with their eyes closed. animation colleges think we do this, but we do fine eating, where we eat with our eyelids facing downwards. I know a load of us drink with our eyes closed, but why do the toons always do it? I don't like it.

The Garfield strip links have that.

The smileys are related to "I'm against strange eating/drinking!"

Pretty good smileys, I might add.

now that I know what you mean, and by looking up the strips again (although Garfield eats Odie's food with the eyes half closed in the last panel of the first strip), I guess perhaps it's the way Jim Davis (the creator of Garfield) likes to do that. I don't know why he chooses to do so, but if that's what's bothering you, well I don't know what else to say.

Also, the one you showed because of the pupils seeming to face the wrong way, I assume you mean Jon and Odie when Garfield zaps them with static. The reason their pupils are in different directions is an effect to show them hit physically and their slightly out of regular oriented focus (being konked out).

I thought of looking up one Garfield book "Garfield Worldwide: His 15th Book." Throughout 6 or 7 months worth of strips, only 2 or 3 of the strips have the such casualities of the characters strangly eating/drinking (or was that fine?). One of them might not really be it, but I did it just to be safe.

These are the link to the such strips.

All of those were what I found suspicious to what you're referring to.
