They don't make cartoons like this anymore
This was made during the Golden Ages of cartoons, whereas nowadays is unfortunately the Dark Ages. That's because many series nowadays have all sorts of violent and vulgar depictions. The 80's and 90's were perhaps the watermark of animation, Garfield and Friends was no risque show, nor were The Pink Panther, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Spider-Man, and Inspector Gadget. Garfield was among the best cartoons ever made.
