I got Volume Five! Anyone else have it?
I did and I'm loving it. Not the best of the DVD set (Four is the best IMO) but still very good. I love the song at the end of "Happy Garfield Day".

I have all of em, 1-5, right here on my shelf
goofy hour is at hand
Yep got it! Just watched a few episodes of it tonight. That U.S. Acres nursery rhyme segment was classic heh.
shareI got it yesterday at Christmas.
Devastator- "Prepare for extermination!"
I agree. The nursery rhyme episode is one of the best two U.S. Acres from this set, the other being IMO Thing in the Box (always love episodes featuring Nermal. Desirée Goyette is THE definite voice of the cuttest kitty cat, even though he is a boy. I hate it when they made Nermal sounds like a boy in the movie version).
Finally got to see all of the Penelope episodes (and so many of them) which they left out in syndication and overseas broadcasts. It's good to see some of Garfield's on-screen romance which was lacking in previous box set, although I just can't understand why they had to create a whole new character instead of using Arlene in the comic.
Not only that, but Arlene has a picture on one of the box sets. It's on the last cd of one of the sets.
shareThat pink cat on the third disk from Volume 3 is Arlene? I thought at first it was Penelope, until I saw an episode with Penelope, who was shorter and a lighter color.
Thanks for clearing that up.
I know, it doesn't make sense to include Arlene when she didn't appear in the series.
shareDoes Volume 5 contain that new opening for the 8th season?
shareThank the good lord....NO. So you can buy it if you'd like. It's the we're ready to party theme song.
shareI see, so Volume 5 has all the remaining episodes of the series, except on the newer episodes, that new rap theme song was replaced by the classic opening?
Cool. My birthday is coming up, I'll ask for it then.
By the way, about that rap song, do you know where I can find the lyrics?
no, but you could do a google search. here is the website where you can listen to it. Maybe you could write down the words if you don't find any webpages with lyrics

I just got it today. What are your impressions on the episodes so far? I remember some of them. Has anyone seen the episode in which Garfield is trying to beat the world record for sleeping? where you angry when he didn't win?
shareI just saw that episode. I wasn't mad, but quite dissapointed.
Devastator- "Prepare for extermination!"
I remember watching that episode when I was younger, when it was actually on tv, and remember thinking that the old guy was a jerk for waking Garfield. But now, after watching the episode again, I decided it wasn't meant to be for Garfield to be the world's longest sleeper.
shareYou have Volume 5? Can you maybe answer me a few questions:
Who's pictures are on the disks?
Volume 1, the pictures were Garfield, Orson, Odie.
Volume 2, the pictures were Garfield, Roy, Jon
Volume 3, the pictures were Garfield, Wade, Pookie
Volume 4, the pictures were Garfield, Booker, Arlene
Who's on Volume 5? I'm going to assume Garfield, Bo (or Lanolin), and Nermal? Penelope? Binky?
AND, do the later episodes on Volume 5 contain that distasteful new rap opening added to the show in 1994?
The pictures on Volume 5 disks are Garfield, Lanolin and Nermal.

Nope, I never saw it on there.
