Did you like Lorenzo Music better as Garfield or as Peter Venkmen?

Garfield, I've always wondered if the cartoon version of Peter Venkman is the same person who voiced Garfield

Garfield, since his voice didn't real fit Peter Venkman's voice. I know he would have never agreed to a TV show but it would have been good to have Bill Murray voice Peter Venkman in The Real Ghostbusters. Ironically, Bill Murray voiced Garfield in the 2004 film.

And here's another piece of irony for you. Dave Coulier who replaced Lorenzo Music as Peter Venkman, also filled in for Lorenzo Music for Garfield when Lorenzo was sick. And another piece of irony, the guy who voiced Ray in the Real Ghostbusters is NOW the voice of Garfield in the computer animated DVDs they're putting out.

I've been watching the Real Ghostbusters again since they came out on DVD and I still say Lorenzo Music is better as Garfield, he'll always be Garfield, but his voice really makes the cartoon Peter Venkman as well.

Lorenzo Music will always be Garfield. No one else could ever/will ever do the voice of Garfield quite like him. He's the best, the only.

As for Lorenzo as Peter Venkman, his voice didn't really fit. Dave Coulier was better suited because he sounded exactly like Bill Murray.

Lorenzo is and always will be Garfield.

Garfield, Lorenzo Music owned that role. I liked him as Peter Venkman, but loved him as Garfield.

Lorenzo Music will always be the drunk doorman from Rhoda, in my mind. As I watch Garfield, all I can think of is that Carlton is a cat!

Thank you, gg82. Once I got used to him as Garfield, Lorenzo Music became THE CAT for me, but at first, it was a stretch. Music gave Garfield suavity, though.

And Lorenzo Music will always be Carlton the Doorman on Rhoda for me.
