This is the best school movie EVER

I'm old enough to remember the trailer for this film and the terrible advertising leading up to its premiere back in '87. If you blinked, you'd have missed the commercial since it wasn't even 30 seconds long. The pimping for this picture was outright terrible. Despite good reviews (yes, this was before internet; you'd have to actually pick up a newspaper or movie mag for info on upcoming films back then lol) It wasn't in theatres a good month which is a shame because it's a really good movie.

That being said, outside of Sixteen Candles, this is probably the best 80s teen movie of that decade IMO. I never tire of watching it when it's on tv.

These are the top 80s teen comedies I hold in high regard. Just my preferences...

I agree. I was thinking the same thing right after it finished. It's the best high school movie of all-time. Mainly because it really makes you feel like you're back in high school.
