When gis boss shows him the destruction of the shoe store, he says with an open gaze of surprize, "Oh my God" there is a pic of Buckwheat with the same facial expression "Otay!" . Then when they walk over a few feet over. His boss says "This is stupid". Right behind Jerry is a picture of the Three Stooges.

Right before he smashes the globe into the cash register, he looks like Atlas, the mythological god who carried the weight of the world on his shoulders...

Yep, love him lifting the globe like Atlas! Then the punch line of it simply shattering over the register.
"Shoe store" was a funny typo. Let's face it, were it not for that fateful day, Jerry probably would have gone on to work in a shoe store…
