The sequel should bring back the original cast...
But focus mainly on a younger cast, similar to what Star Wars Episode VII is doing.
shareThough I can see Brooks bringing Bill Pullman and Daphne Zuniga back as Lone Star and Princess Vespa, I don't think they are necessary for a sequel - especially since it will be without Barf (John Candy) and Dottie (Joan Rivers). You cvan always have a new, younger cast of heroes to fight against the evil Space Ball empire.
With that being said, he NEEDS Rick Moranis to come out of retirement to reprise Dark Helmet. I don't see how a sequel would work without him. Even if you have Brooks once again playing President Scroob and Yogurt, Dark Helmet needs to be the glue to tie the two movies together.
