This film is a display of the Yamaha DX-7 and Scholz Rockman

For my musician internet-folk out there - Seems like that keyboard music that is scoring the film is pure DX-7 goodness from those days and the guitars are most definitely a Rockman device.

The DX-7 is the epitome of sounds that don't age well.

I don't know... a bunch of 80s cover bands still use them and I think some of the not-so-obvious sounds are pretty nice. I will say the newer Roland's are incredible.

If you like it it's great. Cannot discuss tastes for real.

For me: I know them too well, and they sound like a part of my teenage years I'd rather forget, maybe.

The Taco Bell “bell” sound if from a dx7

When I was a kid (60s), I hated the sound of the Rhodes electric piano. It didn't sound anything like a piano to me. Now that I hear it today, I like the sound of the vintage electric pianos, not as substitutions for acoustic instruments, but just for what they are.

I'll have to listen for it next time this is on. I have an X100 Rockman original.
