What Captain Freedom's suit was supposed to do?

I know that nobody can know for sure just from watching the movie, but maybe if someone read Stephen King's book and it was explained there. I always been wondering what his goofy looking suit was supposed to do. Maybe it just sort of gave him armor and extra strength. Any thoughts anyone?

Presumably it was meant to look silly.

The Tin Man recycled.

Keep him from being able to do Captain Freedom's Workout?

if you look at the various other characters "Armor" or accessories you could assume that due to his personality his armor would give him extra strength, agility sort of like a power suit... capt freedom was a fighter... as shown in his(not his but supposed to be his) fight scene with arnie, he also kinda says back in his glory days "he didn't need any off this *beep*

Of course! That suit looked just like the experimental military exoskeletons we see prototypes of today. It truly was a glimpse of the future.

...then whoa, differences...

All I can say about Captain Freedom is he was the dorkiest out of them all. I did not like him at all.

I am a gore watching freak!!!

If it don't have it, it isn't worth the watch.

I know that nobody can know for sure ...
Well the Captain himself didn't seem to know and wasn't impressed any way.🐭

reply

It was a microwave at the front.

He was supposed to grapple the runners and hold their heads in there with one hand while the other hand used a screwdriver to fiddle with the little door safety latch and make it go.

...then whoa, differences...

I wonder why he put the suit on in the first place.

reply

And the other question is, why was he refusing to wear it?
