homoerotic imagery

Anybody else find it as creepy (in a somehow enjoyable way) as I do, watching the scene where the heroes have to inch down a narrow corridor wherein the walls are dotted with holes that little, flesh-colored snakes pop out of to attack them, knowing that Tim Kincaid started out in gay porn?

Seems to me that there's some either veiled or unintentional-but-subconsciously-inserted joke about glory holes going on there.

By the way, does anyone else in the world besides me actually genuinely gives a rat's crap about this flick?

I never really thought of that, but according to his IMDb profile he still directs gay porn. I think he's married to a woman though, but I suppose this could be false.

Well I searched many times to find the MST3K version.

In case you havn't located a dvd of this (or any other unreleased) MST3K episode, try going to mst3kvideos.com. I've bought a few episodes from this site and the quality is usually excellent.
Another site I've heard of is castleforrester.com. I have never seen any episodes from this site, so can't comment on quality.

I got it now. As well as a lot more Season 1 episodes. I honestly don't really like Josh Weinstein as Tom Servo.

Ugh.. I agree. I avoid watching season 1 episodes because Josh Weinstein's voice just grates on my nerves like fingernails on a chalkboard.

reply

I guess that's just another reason to avoid glory holes because you never know what's going to pop out of there. Those sewer snakes were nasty, but they were the highlight of the film for me. But giving this the MST3K treatment almost seems redundant.

i don't either Sean, but he really did't do THAT bad of a job man. & MAN was this a bad film.

Dude, the homoerotic imagery started in frame one of this film and continued until the closing credits! You didn't notice the nearly-naked beefcake wrestling at the beginning, or the mute hunk with his junk barely contained in a banana hammock, or the way that one guy was somehow helping his injured brother walk by propping him up from behind? Seriously, am I the only one who noticed all of the not-very-subtle gay stuff throughout this flick?

By the way, this is the worst movie ever...but I love it! So bad it's good!

We all see what we want to see...

I don't mind it...I certainly don't purposely watch a movie looking for homo-eroticism, but sometimes it's just pretty damn obvious.

reply

Some people see HomeErotic stuff in Rebel Without a Cause or Terminator... I don't see it. In fact I am not sure what it means. I saw ridiculously massive boobs on the one female, I notice that.

I have nothing to say... I've been such an arse already.

reply

Well, in Rebel Without a Cause the Sal Mineo character is gay and in love James Dean's character, but he's struggling with his feelings. I wouldn't call that homoerotic, but some people might.

This movie has more "Trade" than a swap meet .

reply

Ha!  Good one! 

reply

Probably correct. I noticed the director used to do gay points when looking up this movie. It didn't shock me.
