Better Ending

I enjoyed the film, but the ending was very lame. I thought that the Masked Avenger would fall to his death off the nightclub roof and that the news of this would "shock" young Woody out of his innocent childhood and push him toward his teens. Marv

I thought it was the perfect ending for the movie. It was nice, but also kind of sad at the same time.

Yep - a perfect ending if ever there was one. Actually, I canĀ“t find one single thing wrong with this picture - definitely the best of 1987 out of those that I have seen. Stiffy really was on the roll in the eighties.

The ending summed Woody up...Everyone has their hopes and dreams and imaginations, and in the end? Here comes in the television and it's just a memory that gets dimmer and dimmer...Life is meaningless
It's perfect

Well, that's just like, your opinion man.

The film is one of my favorites, and I love the end, it always leaves me crying.

Didn't anyone get what was happening in the last shot? Woody was tipping his hat to the audience!

I find the ending slightly disappointing as it is not funny but rather melancholy. But I would not like anyone to die at the end. We've already had the dead girl down the well, which was depressing enough.
