The Predator could have killed Ana!

"Spoilers ahead"

According to the Predator's "code of honor". As soon as she picked up Poncho's machine gun and attempted to open fire against him. That would have automatically made her "fair game" and could have killed her, right then and there. Regardless if Arnold kicked it out of her hands. I know! I know! The Predator had his sights set on the main price and wasn't interested in leftovers 😁

PS: Why did she try to do so anyway!? After Arnold specifically told her that the Predator spared her life because she was unarmed. Maybe it was an act of desperation. As opposed to a calm and collected decision (los nervios). She probably figured "it's gonna kill us, anyway! So may as well go down fighting".

They didn't know for certain that the Predator had a "code of honor". At that point it was a theory by Dutch. And it did just target and kill Poncho, who was seriously wounded. So probably in an act of panic and desperation she went for the weapon.

Also the Predator may not have seen her grab the gun. After it fired, it hid behind the tree to recharge.

"At that point it was a theory by Dutch"

Good point. An educated guess on his part, maybe.

"And it did just target and kill Poncho, who was seriously wounded"

That's something that's been debated for decades. You're right! Poncho was seriously injured and wasn't even able to walk on his own (let alone defend himself). But I think that according to their "code of honor". Since Poncho sustained his injuries during the hunt. That probably made him fair game. At least according to the Predator's logic. If, let's say! He would have gotten injured BEFORE the Predator officially decided to go after Arnold's team (like during their infiltration mission). Maybe he would have been spared! I don't know.

My best friend claims that the Predator was aiming for Arnold and missed. And Poncho just happened to get caught in the crossfire. Collateral damage, in other words. I don't particularly agree with his opinion, due to the fact that the Predator from the first movie was basically the equivalent of a military sniper (as my brother pointed out). As as we all know. Los snipers no fallan!

"Also the Predator may not have seen her grab the gun. After it fired, it hid behind the tree to recharge".

Another good point. Either that or he was taking cover. And Finally! Someone that agrees with me that the Predator's beam cannon is comparable to Mega Man's X buster. Meaning, that the more you charge it. The stronger the impact of the blast.

Not to mention but Ana is a relative of Naru from the movie Prey

reply

Really!? Shit, I didn't know that! "Prey" was ok. Not as good as 1 or 2. But acceptable.

reply

No one knew it because I just made it up

Get the fuck outta here! 😁

No news there. He makes up almost everything he posts on these boards.

reply

Really!? So this guy has a reputation for being a tall taler, eh!?

reply

He also enjoys saying ridiculous things. He said that House of Dracula was the best Frankenstein movie.

reply

Really!? Frankenstein had a cameo in that movie!? 🀨

reply

Yeah. He's barely in it.

Really!? I was just being sarcastic. Aparentenmente acertΓ© πŸ˜„

You claiming "spoiler alert" on a 35yrs old movie? Good one.

I vaguely remember a friend that claimed to have never seen it. So don't be so surprised! Needless to say I berated him/her over it. And besides! Even old films would feel like a new experience for the younger generations.

reply

Nothing wrong in being a considerate.

reply

True. You're nicer than me. I would only post that on new movies.

reply

Thank you.

Perhaps the predator was a toxic feminist female and only targeted males.

Most don’t realize β€œthe predator” were the evil men on the team.

Dillon should’ve called Chris Hanson.

reply

"Perhaps the predator was a toxic feminist female and only targeted males."

LOL. She surely looked like one, at least.

reply

Interesting you mentioned that! I literally found out last night, via a link that was shared by another user here. That the Predator was originally intended to be female. But the suits vetoed that idea on the count that they felt that teenagers from the 1980's wouldn't buy the idea that a woman (nevermind if this was an 8 feet tall intergalactic spacer hunter with technology far superior than our own) could defeat a group of hardened military soldiers, lead by Arnold himself! Look it up! The link is somewhere around here. Or just goggle it.

reply

That would have been a very interesting twist. I just wonder how they would have brought out the idea within the framework of the film.

reply

Please elaborate!

reply

I mean, how the filmmakers would have told to the audience that the predator was a female.

reply

Hmmm...maybe they could have added some curves in the right places 😁

reply

Yeah, and big titties...

reply

Nah! They would probably get in the way of the Predator's natural athleticism. Can you imagine those things bouncing around all over the place as she swung from tree to tree!? 😁
