Hawk's truck

As a truck driver, I'm curious as to who decided to have Hawk, doing long-haul driving in a day-cab? The writers? Producers? Director? I can understand if he was sleeping in a motel at the end of the day, but they show him and his son sleeping in the cab seated. His explanation of, "a lot of drivers do it," is BS. The drivers that sleep in their trucks have sleeper berths. You know, so they can lie down, be comfortable, and get some good quality sleep? BTW, f-king sweet truck he wins at the end of the movie, though.

I never understood that either. You would think he would at least have a sleeper, so I'm guessing:

A. Hawk couldn't afford a truck with a sleeper cab.

B. They wanted to have the "If you can do it I can do it" father-son bonding scene.

C. The people making this movie didn't think it was nesscisary/had no knowledge
of long haul trucking, hence the lame "a lot of truckers do it" cop out.

This bread has NUTS IN IT!

easiest explanation he couldn't afford it !!

also White product placement , his old truck was an Autocar which was a brand of White , the brand new truck he won was a White

reply

The truck was old, dirty and well worn, in keeping with Hawk's "down on his luck" backstory.
