If she had some hypnocil why didn't she gave some of her pills to save the guys (especially when they were being murdered by Freddy) as an emergency move? The hypnocil requested by Neil was about to arrive the next day anyway so there would be plenty of hypnocil for all that would gave them enough time to work things out, save the kids and defeat Freddy.
shareSince hypnocil was a dream suppressant, wouldn't that negate having dream powers though, rendering the film plotless? Besides, with Neil & Nancy getting canned by the hospital after Joey's coma, they didn't have an opportunity to implement the hynocil regimen, and it seems to me that the treatment would've been done by the book. Sure, for Nancy her prescription for Hynocil was fine, but if she shared what she had in a large group she likely would've ran out in a couple of days, or she could've been charged with unlawful use of a prescription (let's see the judge get fat and the lawyer get famous on that twist:-).
shareOk so I just read the script and there is a part in which Nancy does give Kristen her two remaining pills of hypnocil the night Freddy kills Jennifer, but there is no sign of this scene being filmed at all, obviously would have been better if they included this scene in the film.

Kristen lies in bed. Nancy sits nearby in a chair -- it seems she
may keep an all-night vigil.
She notices an array of gymnastics posters taped to the wall.
NANCY
You like gymnastics?

I was on the team at school.
(beat)
I was never very good, though.
NANCY
We're not always as good at things as
we'd like.
KRISTEN
Yeah, but I was really not good.
They laugh softly.
KRISTEN

I'm glad you're here.
Nancy pauses, wrestling with a decision. She digs into her purse,
pulls out her bottle of Hypnocyl, and shakes the contents into her
hand. Just two pills left. She gives them to Kristen.

What are they?
NANCY
(softly)
They'll keep the dreams away. For
tonight.
Nancy dropped her Hypnocil bottle and Neil picked it up after she left. Shortly after Kristen pulled her into a dream (assuming with Hypnocil she couldn't be pulled in). So maybe that was all she bad left. I mean it was experimental and probably hard to get ahold of.
