Whenever Severen put the ray-bans on in the bar scene, he looked a lot like Cassidy. Great movie, just watched it for the first time tonight!

shareI watched Near Dark for the first time last night--and I thought the very same thing. I want a cinematic trilogy to be made from the Preacher graphic novels--but I just hope it's done right. If they were younger, either Kurt Russell or Johnny Depp--if he played it straight and didn't over-reach like he usually does--would be perfect in the title role. I don't know who would be cast in the main roles now, in 2014.
