Do you think they... (spoiler)
had sex during their affair? I mean the most far they went in the scenes we saw was kissing.

Which 'they' do you mean...? Clive and Maurice or Maurice and Scudder?
My guess is they all did but the sex between Clive and Maurice was very tame whereas with Scudder, it was very passionate.

I assume you mean Clive and Maurice? (As we are shown and told that Maurice and Alec definitely had sex) I thought it was obvious that Clive and Maurice never had sex, just kissed and caressed. After all, Clive states at the end that for him relationships between men are only acceptable as long as they remain purely platonic, or something along those lines.
shareWith Clive, no. With Scudder, yes.
shareAs others have said, both the novel and the film hinge on the fact that Clive and Maurice definitely don't. (e.g. See the deleted scene on YouTube where Clive gets into bed with Maurice because he's 'cold', only to get back out again. No wonder there's so much Clive-hatred on the YouTube boards.)
However, for anyone happy to dip into an academic analysis, I just found this article, which is interesting on this point (see pp. 60-65):

There's no suggestion that Clive and Maurice would have taken things all the way. But this article does make a case that (in the novel) if they hadn't been stopped by the college Dean when they try to bunk off into the countryside (the episode in the film where Maurice gets sent down from Cambridge) things might have got a little more interesting. In the novel, Clive even says 'Let’s get right outside [Cambridge] ever so far and bathe' (crikey).
It really is up to you to decide, my love. Personally, sex was part of the relationship, even if at first Clive didn't want to take it that far - it just happened :p
BTW - great film, I'm so glad Maurice found true love in the end!
See, I don't think Clive and Maurice ever actually did much, other than maybe kissing. In the book, there is mention a couple of times of Clive and Maurice 'in the ferns', which leads me to believe that the only place Clive would open up and permit even such xmall contact as a kiss was when there was absolutely no chance of them being seen by anyone.
What with Clive's feelings about the subject, and his opinions on platonic love and how far a man's relationship can go with another man, I'd be surprised if they did anything more than hug and possibly kiss a bit.
Your mileage may vary, of course!
Of course they did. They were young men. If they were just close friends, why would Clive have been so frightened of exposure? And as for Clive's speech at the end, that would indicate the future, an ideal, a repudiation of the past.
