...but I've always wondered (and couldn't help wondering, to be honest): who do you think was the, ahem, dominant one in the relationship between Maurice and Scudder? Though Scudder seemed to be the more passionate/animalistic/aggressive one, I still can't help but think that Maurice's bedroom arm-pinning scene suggests another element to his personality!
shareI'd like to think Scudder was more dominant/top, but they both seemed like they'd be versatile to me. I like the idea that they'd both reciprocate since they cared about each other equally unlike Maurice and Clive (Hugh Grant).

Funny this topic has come up... having watched the Criterion DVD today ...which is equisite quality... and my thoughts are the same ... but I do think of Scudder as an aggressive "bottom" ... but if Hall is a versatile.. oh this is a discussion for an interestign dinner party!
