Best for nostalgia

As a Gen-X person, this movie hits all the nostalgia points. 80’s teen vampires, a great soundtrack, the Coreys and Jami Gertz/Jason Patrick depending on your gender. It’s a so-so movie without the nostalgia imo. My kids are teens and they don’t really care for it. Thoughts?

Yeah true. I first saw this on rented vhs when I was a kid, and I've dug it since. I think the Frog Brothers and Haim steal the whole movie, along with the grandpa and Max. Would I like it as much without nostalgia? Who knows. I can't imagine growing up watching Twilight as my vampire movie instead of this haha, that would suck.

I think your teens might like it when they get older, they've probably been raised on more recent movies and won't appreciate some of the things that make this film so much fun.

I think it really holds up as a classic 80s horror thriller and action flick.

It’s a lot of fun.
