Don't they look much older to you, too? Maybe it's because I was 12 when I first saw it in 1988 and 20-year-old people looked much older to me back then. And that's why they still look much older to me. Perception can play tricks on you.

sharePeople aged differently in the past and I know the 80's wasn't that long ago but if you look at films from the 40's the actors look quite old then you find out they were in their late 20's or early 30's!
shareCould be that people didn't look after themselves as much back then. More booze, more cigarettes, less moisturizer and an unhealthy diet. Look at Ted Danson on Cheers. He was 33ish in season one, yet looks like late 40s. The other cast members look even older.
