shareMy favorite part is when they (Jack and Trigger) walk into the bar and the song starts... "mr. casual". If anybody knows how to find this song PLEASE let me know!
shareMy favorite part is where Kirk Cameron says to Dudley Moore "that's it your grounded for the rest of your life". He says that when he comes back with a hangover in the morning.
John Candy 1950-1994 we miss you.
Have you had any luck with the title? If you do, I would sure love if you would share with me.
shareMy favorite part is when Dudley Moore whacks the patient across the face when the nurse tells him to. LOL
share"Hit him doctor, hit him!" *WHACK!*
Classic!
there are too many good parts. I'm confused about how Dr. Armbruster walks in Jack's office right as they switch back saying " now what would ever posess you to fool around with my wife " he just left the room for a couple seconds, and when he was telling him before that he was supporting someone else for chief of staff, he said he was aware that Jack had a rough night, did he just change his mind about asking him about it at work? I like that part, it's kinda creepy.
sharejenniferlynnbay the name of that song is "I Ching" by Marc Jordan
shareI have a CD single of the song. It's catchy. "I Ching" by Marc Jordan.
shareI love this movie. It's very, very funny.
My fave parts:
* When Jack is in the meeting at the hospital and he's chewing gum and totally not paying attention and then bums a cigarette off the guy next to him and then coughs and spits the chewy into that woman's hair.
* When Jack is doing the rounds at the hospital and has no idea what he's doing and gets the interns to do all the work.
* When Jack sets the couch on fire during his disasterous date with Ginnie.
* When Chris dobs on Rick for throwing stuff at the blackboard.
* When Chris rubs out the teacher's diagram of the respiratory system calling it "remedial".
This is just a really, really good movie. Lots of fun.
HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED IF EARTH IS ANOTHER PLANET'S HELL?
movie is awesome
one part i like is when dudley moore as kirk is sneakin out the house and hops over the fence and gets knackered and says "sorry dad!"
I've looked EVERYWHERE for the song "I Ching" by Marc Jordan, and have yet to come across it anywhere. I find alot other of his songs, but never this one. If anyone has it, please contact me through email at [email protected]. Thank you!
shareIt's been a long time since this movie has been on cable. I finally saw it today. I think it was on Encore. Still funny.
The part where Dudley Moore punches the old man in bed is definitely the funniest part. I also like the part where Dudley is swinging on the tree in front of Trigger's parents.
shareActually the nurse says "well hit the sonofab!tch!"
I think......
As for favorite parts:
The scene where Jack (as his son), is running through the hospital looking for his office, telling the secretary to "hold my calls I'm gonna be real busy," then he just relaxes and eats his burger or whatever that was. Then goes up to the model skeleton and says "Well I've got bad news for you mister, oh sorry, Mrs." Then a guy comes in & says Jack's name, and he throws the stethoscope into the shelves and knocks stuff off it and it breaks, then he goes on his rounds, completely not knowing what he's doing, heh heh.
I also like the big track final relay race, some pretty good 80's-sounding music here.
And when Dr. Armbrister goes to check on "Jack" at his home, he pretends like he's checking the light bulb, and Armbrister says "Well I'll see you back at the hospital, say, in about an hour. Then Jack says "An hour, right." Then says "bye," then "s h i t."
And also the big conference meeting of course, with the gum, cigarettes, and fire.
I HATE the whole road trip scene with Chris, Trigger, Jack, and Uncle Earl, I dunno why, and especially the giving birth scene, I don't think they really needed that.
In God WWE Trust
It's on youtube if you haven't already found it there. It's bee a few years.
shareEverybody is forgetting the most hilarious part of the whole movie. It's when Kirk Cameron comes home after school and is calling out for Dudley Moore but he's actually calling out his own name. He says, "Chris?....Chris?....(the maid sees him and gives him this weird look and then he responds) Chris is home! Have you seen my dad?" Then he finds out his dad actually went to work to the hospital. I crack up laughing everytime I see this part.

My favorite part is when Jack is shoving the flaming sofa through the glass door and Ginnie says, "Good night, Jack."
Then Jacks says, "You're leaving?"
Another very funny scene is when Jack was playing with the stethoscope and one of the doctors walks in.
And of course who could forget the board room scene?!
"Pardon me. Oh, you're a hedge!"
~Dudley Moore as Arthur Bach
Sorry Dad! When climbing over the fence.
Just putting in a light bulb. When caught rocking to Motley Crue.
