Exploding roaring sharks? WTF!!! (Spoilers)

Please explain THAT to me and some other things:

1: Sean's death. His arm got ripped off and he didn't noticed it after 5-10 sec??? (Gruesome graphic death by the way.)

2: The shark itself. Setting a trap for Sean, traveling 5000 miles in 48 hours and is out for REVENGE???

3: Jake's survival. The shark had him in his MOUTH, CHEWING on him and yet he survives with (almost) no harm???

4: The Ellen Brody flashbacks?. I can go along with the Sean flashback (she IMAGINED it), but not the Martin Brody part.

5: The Ellen/shark psychic connection. Are sharks telepaths? No! I'll go along with that Ellen can SENSE the shark, but not that she knows that the shark are after revenge on the Brodys.

6: Why did the filmmakers not invest more money in the shark. It would have looked more real. Instead we got a fake rubber shark.

7: Speaking of the filmmakers, why did they not invest even more money in the script and a script doctor???

I can answer all of your questions in one sentence...the movie was badly written, badly directed, badly produced crap.

Let's not forget a line in "Jaws 2"--"Sharks don't take things personally Sheriff Brody". Well according to this they do! Also I agree--the telepathetic (intentional mispelling) connection between Ellen and the shark was incredibly stupid, a shark can'r roar (it has no vocal cords) and it has got to be the WORST fake shark ever.

The movie excises big chukcs of the original story.

Originally, Mike Brody is dealing with A voodoo doctor in the bahamas. Mike's local assistants turn to the doctor for help, but mike thinks the Dr. is using them for money. HE doesn't like him, the dr. summons the shark to kill the brody family. at one point, Thea is lured to the beach and surf in the middle of the night, Mike stops her, but the shark was there waiting.

another one which I'm surprised people don't rag on enough; the 'plan' for Hoagie to land his plane in the water and fact that they jump in the water and swim to the boat. Maybe the fact that Hoagie can climb out with a dry shirt overshadows the previous 10 seconds but first off why would they jump in shark infested waters and secondly why did the shark not attack them?

Shark attack victims are on record saying they weren't aware their legs had been bitten off for quite a few seconds. It felt more like they'd been punched. There wasn't even any pain until they saw the wound. Adrenalin, etc.
