So Sean lost his life because.......

Lenny was out cow tipping. Lol. Was it absolutely imperative to have this log removed from the buoy? It almost seemed like it was a trap set by Jaws iv. They even show the log washed up on shore awhile later. Sounds stupid but not for a movie called Jaws revenge. One thing I did like was the few shots of the water with real creepy music. Gave it that horror movie feel.

reply

yeah, it was almost implied the shark found a log and placed it there for Shawn to remove.

Wow! That's one smart shark. I mean, that thing's a genius. He's the Einstein of the shark world. What did he do? Get into radioactive goo?

Anyway, I don't know about anyone else. But the scene where Sean is killed wigs the heck out of me. I think it's his screams for help that get to me every time.

reply

He lost his life because Roy aka daddy Martin Brody turned down this movie because he was going to have the death in the beginning..He declined since he hated that his character died sooo they killed off poor Sean instead.

reply

Not quite true, Roy didn't want to do this film but the reason was he didn't want to do another Jaws. He didn't even want to do Jaws 2 but was in contract with his studio.

reply

well, Jaws 2 was going to be a way out of his contract.

Universal was keen to do a jaws 2 but the movie Roy was working on wasn't going so well and universal offered him a deal. Do jaws 2 and will consider your final 2 films, one and you're free from your contract, so Roy agreed.

I thought Jaws 2 was a lot better than "All That Jazz" which Roy was filming at the time.
How would your avatar put it?

"NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" 

reply
