What model is the black Ferrari in the opening chase?

I caught a glimpse of this old movie before and got nostalgic, and also got smitten by the black, lean Ferrari that Chris Mulkey drives in the beginning of the film. Anyone know the model and can hesitate a guess as to the year of its make? I like it, contrary to the Testarossa it is shaped like a melon seed.

Looks like an early version of the 308 Gtb from around 1979.

Wow, yes that was the one! Thanks, trusty Max! Been image-googling that thing now, I so enjoy the curves on it, like the perfect mix of the Stingray (or Mako II) Corvette models of the late seventies, doused with Ferrari soberness.
