My favorite:
Buyer: "100 mph in the city?"
Car Dealer: "Of course in the city. Anybody can do it on the freeway!"
Mine is:
"I'll cover you."
"I'd be safer if you didn't."
"Fine I won't cover you." (Drops his gun down to his side)
"All right cover me."
"You want me to *beep* cover you or not?!"
"I need you to cover me."
"All right, I'll cover you."
My favourite line was "I guess a career in the police didn't really prepare you for this, did it?"

Mine would be -
Nouri "Does all of this seem a little...weird to you?"
McLachlan "Yes, I guess"
Nouri "I knew that...I just wanted to know if YOU knew that"
The part of the dialog I like the best was (someting like this):
Fbiguy: "We have to get to her before she is dead!"
Policeguy: "Uh? Before? Why not wait untill after she is dead!?"
Fbiguy: "..."
Gallagher - "Beck ?"
Beck - "What ?!" [sarcastically]
Gallagher - "We need to find her."
Beck - "You're telling me she's part of this ??"
Willis - "Hey, Tom.....u ain't gonna believe this !"
Beck - "We've got another stiff...."
Willis - "In the parking lot." [sighs]
Beck - "I don't believe this." [snatches Brenda photo]
Great cop dialogue. I never get tired of scenes like this.
that had me rolling! lol

"I'm talking to you, wank!"
Why is there a space between Lyons and Spakowsky?
"I want to be president."
shareI have to agree with:
"I WANT to be president."
I think it's the best line because it works on a couple of different levels. For one thing, it's just a continuation of the alien's 'take what he wants' philosophy, ie. "I want the car. I need the keys." but it get misinterpreted as political decisiveness.
what so funny about it is that everyone starts applauding the statement, thinking it's about a politician being strong willed and having a vision! And the alien gives this smug look as if to say "Yeah...I've got this politics thing all figured out." The sad thing is...he pretty much does have it figured out. He could probably be this alien social retard and just give these one-liners every now and then and still ascend to the white house.
it's a rip on how naive the public is to swallowing any nonsense from a politician (even one who in this case is an alien psychopath) and it's poking fun at just how easy it is for politicians to say any basic statement and get a mass following.
yeah, that line is definitely my favorite in the movie.
Indeed! That line is both hilarious and scary, isn't it?
In many ways, this film seems to be a subversive look at the feel-good era of the Reagan '80s, as well as the public who elects such leaders based on their style and slogans. Of course, that applies to both parties in the U.S. I think the viewer can find recent examples from both Republicans and Democrats (and maybe even the Tea Party) based on the characters here.
My fav is more of the "unspoken" line.
I love it when he tries to pick up a girl after stealing the ferrari. She says *beep* off", and he goes fumbling after his gun to kill her....ahhh man that cracks me up!
I know you'll dig this:
