Budget?
Does anyone know where to find out the actual budget of The Hidden? It's a part of my dissertation at university and I cannot find it anywhere. The best I've got is under $5 million.
shareI imagine it would be pretty low, with the lack of speial FX, but the planning and use of L.A.'s parks & streets for the chase scenes would have cost a few bucks, for the permits...the actors were mainly low-totem pole players (Kyle Mac had not become a prima-donna yet) and Nouri never commanded much $$ either; so BIG STAR paychecks were probably kept down to a minimum; a lot of the "fx" were very tame, compared to bigger budge films, so perhpas that $5 million budget is right; perhaps a bit less??
I just liked this film from back in the 80's and still do to this day. THAT is the mark of a good film, one that lasts! Hope that helped! :)
