Any chance of getting a BLU-RAY of this little classic?

That would be sweet. Add some exclusive extras like a cast reunion & their thoughts on the film now years later....the making of this film. I know they have the director commentary on the DVD but how about a commentary of the people the alien invaded in the film. It wouldn't have obviously the dog & William Boyett who played Jonathan P. Miller but at least a scene specific commentary by Chris Mulkey, Claudia Christian, Clarence Felder, Ed O'Ross & the guy who played the senator. It'd be interesting to hear what their interpretation on how they played an alien taking their body over would be. Anyone agree ?
shareI agree but did you know that an remake of the movie was planned, called "THE SEED". But it seems to be in development hell...
If this movie came out we would get the Blu-Ray...
but until now... I cannot see it happening.

Yeah, I had heard about that. I'm kinda curious on what they do with it. Sooner or later, I figured this film would get touched w/ the remake tag on it. Hopefully, they just ignore part 2. From what I've read, it's supposed to act like a true sequel to the original.
shareThe commentary by the director was extremely boring, surprising since the movie is so good and it seems there would be a lot to talk about.
I remember hearing that Kyle Maclachlan didn't like the film. I think it's his best movie.
The time is ripe for a special edition blu-ray release. The Hidden certainly has a solid fan base, so I'm sure it will get a blu-ray release in the near future. And I really hope it gets the Shout! Factory treatment.
"It's not that tough being a film cricket."
Shout! is unlikely to get it since Warner isn't in the habit of licensing out their films.

It's out on Blu-Ray in Spain.
If it's a bootleg or not, i don't know, but amazon spain sells it.
The picture looks pretty good with english DTS HD Master 2.0 Stereo, which is odd, since the film was so far only available in original Mono or 5.1 up-mix on DVD.
The Spanish release is indeed a bootleg issued by Resen who are notorious for putting out BDs without the rightsowners' consent. Some bloke popped up on blu-ray.com praising the release and subsequently got torn a new one by folks who got conned into buying it and seeing the piss-poor quality.
